Here’s the detail:
got a job offer at the beginning of senior year, got a coupld Ds in second semester and the cumulative GPA now falls slightly below their requirement. Is it likely for companies to rescind offer in situations like this?

Don’t think so… companies don’t look at your transcript. They do however, look at your diploma (if you’re a recent graduate) and resume. Make sure you excel in your internships!

Not if the information was true when you gave it and they checked it. Most companies WILL do a background check, so if that hasn’t happened yet, and they find you’re not meeting their standards it’s possible. From their end, there are plenty of people looking for work right now, so they can be more selective.
It is quite possible since now you are below their minimum requirements.
