Will I lose my unemployement benefits if I turn down a job offer in Florida?
Question by Tori G: Will I lose my unemployement benefits if I turn down a job offer in Florida?
In January of this year I was laid off from my full time job in Florida. Now they realize they made the wrong decision and have informally offered me my job back. I am curious and I might do an interview to see what they can offer me. But I am worried that if I turn this job down that I will lose unemployment.
Basically I would like more money if I were to take this job back and I am not sure if they will give me that or not.

Same place? They will notify unemployment that in effect you where recalled and turned it down, same as quitting. No if the offer is equal to what you where getting prior to being laid off you have to take it or lose compensation.
