Because there are plenty of people looking for work who have zero felony charges. Put yourself in the employer’s position. Why take the unneccesary risk?

I interview hundreds of people each year and won’t hire a felon because I need and want employees who show good judgment.
Sorry, but there is a lot of competition out there and I have my choice of employable people who don’t have a criminal record.

no one cares when and why you did it. just that you did it. – as a business, as a ceo, you have to protect yourself and your company. would you hire someone with no record or someone with a record? – business first. – it’s true, people turn themselves around and clean up their acts, but what’s done is done. – sorry. – good luck.
