Why did Wis. Delay Unemployment Benefit Extension?

Some in Wisconsin were upset that the state delayed the implementation of extended unemployment benefits here. They demanded answers as to why there was a three month gap between when federal monies became available and the state’s Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council recommended accepting the funds. The UIAC is made up fo five labor (employee) representatives, Five management (employer) representatives and one non-voting chairperson. So, did big business in this state try to prevent the benefit extensions from being granted? Not exactly.
