You can apply for section 8 through your local HUD office.

You can also contact local churches and places like Catholic Charities who can help with an apartment and rent.

u can apply for section8 but they require u to have a job so u can pay 30% or 40% i cant remember but they have a minimum income limit. other then that there really isnt much u can do. keep trying to find a job. ive heard “oh its hard to find a job” when really its not that hard u just have to be motivated. even if u have to flip burgers. low income is still income and u can start saving to build a better future for u and your kid

Why are you haveing such a hard time finding work? What is your mindset…are you thinking there aren’t any jobs out there or are you thinking there are lots of jobs out there? Are you thinking you won’t get a good job or are you thinkin you will get a good job? Are you thinking you don’t have enough experience? Are you being positive? How much time are you spending looking for work? Are you seeking out opportunities when you apply at a place to speak right then and there to the boss and show them your enthusiasm to work?

Answer these questions and see if you can find the reasons why you are having trouble.

Then once you’ve narrowed that down…figure out what you can do to change the situation and then change it. The results we get in life are the directly related to what we are thinking and the actions we take.

    Good Luck

“alicialions” … didn’t you hear about the “Great Recession?” Millions of Americans who want jobs can’t find work . Any work!!!!
BTW…. The people showing the most hate toward you are the ones who would be the first to tell you NOT to get an abortion when you were pregnant.

imagine that, somebody who got pregnant at 15 not able to support themselves and their kid(s)

  • Whitney:

why should you get to use my tax money to live in an apartment for free? get off of your fat as.s and get a job. And if one job doesn’t cut it, get two more. don’t give us that “I can’t find work” bullshіt. You can’t find it because you aren’t looking for work. You’re looking for a free ride.

I would shovel horse sh!t to take care of myself and not need a handout from anyone. you may have to live below your standards for a while but if you workyourassoff you might not have to forever.

its hard to hear the truth :(
maybe you’re of royalty and you deserve to have things handed to you on a silver platter :( good luck princess

Your local HUD office may be able to put you with a program that can perhaps help you find a better rental rate, or perhaps even an avenue to home ownership sometime down the line.

Keep your head up. Lots of people like to drop in when they see a question like this and lecture you like they have lived a perfect life. Probably makes them feel better about themselves.

Go get welfare they will help you get into an apartment or put you in contact with people who can. Do not let your pride get in the way of improving your situation.

  • Megan:

elaeblue was right! If you need help I’m sure they can help you in some way.

When I was 18 I found myself pregnant and alone. I worked and saved money and when I was about 7months pregnant I got into an apartment. It was a low income apartment where my rent was based on my income, about 1/3rd. That made it possible to have my own house for me and my child no matter what. I continued to work and enrolled in the comuntity college and ROP courses. The welfare office can give you information about what resources are in your community. Most likely they will have information on child care programs as well.
