What does R.E. stand for in classified employment offers?

I am looking for clerical work and in my local paper there are a few adds that refer to R.E. experience being a plus. I am just curious what that stands for

I would assume it means “real estate”. That’s what RE usually stands for. Are the jobs in a real estate office?
