I was “offered” a early retirement in July. However, I’m too young to get a pension check. Therefore, I get nothing! People that took the same deal in September got help with COBRA and unemployment benefits, that keeps getting extended. I feel that I got used! I have had to use my savings to live ….. It was either take the package or get lost …. I guess I got lost anyway ! People taking extended benefits are not even looking for jobs; screw you ! Enjoy your fishing trips !

How about if democrats accept the republicans deal of making an special amendment to pull from the un-used stimulus bill money the 23 billion dollars to cover this new unemployment extension. by doing this will not cost an addintional increase to our budget deficit. Think about that.

@hoth260 – You’re joking right!! I’ve responded to 350 job ads only to be scammed and identity stolen. Leech? On unemployment my bring home income fell by $600/mo; less than what my mortgage is, net step, I will loose my home. I hope you don’t loose your job and watch everything you have worked for go down the drain. The good part here for me is at least my car is paid for so my dog and I will have somewhere to live.

ok maybe isnt a old fucker but still his fucking us……On Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., who supports the bill, had to vote “nay” to take a procedural step that would allow for a revote. Even though the tally stood at 58-38, Democrats were in reality just one vote short of the 60 needed to beat the filibuster. So i guess when they come back the new replacement will be there and the bill will pass…hope the new guy isnt like the other two Dem sell outs

i just dont understand why they dont just pass the extension…whats going to happen to the people in the gulf of mexico that are out of work and laid off and 26wks are done with and the unemployment increases even more…are the same senators they are voting “NO” going to be saying the same thing down the road or is BP going to cover that tab and be called another shackdown…that place is ruined for life
