Question by Frances C: If were laid off can they refill your position the next day isnt they a law towards that?
Ive worked for the company for 3 years, and they laid me off I then discovered they refilled my position the next day, I feel that it was because of my high wage and because i have a child under 6 I can not work 12 hours a day, which wasn’t required before they laid me off.

Question by : once you sign your air force dep contract, what happens when they call with a job offer?
I was told that If they offer you the 5th job you picked and you turn it down then your screwed and are bumped to the end of the list for jobs again…..is this true? hows the whole thing go down?

Best piece of advice: Take the offer, otherwise you might just find yourself shipping on an open contract. Should have gone Army, 100% of jobs, guaranteed in writing, prior to enlistment. No open contracts, or other Air Force bait & switch gimmicks.

Some one at my job was to be moved to day shift. He said no way and asked to be laid off and was giving unemployment

What is the penalty for quitting without good cause? If you are not eligible for benefits because you quit without good cause, you cannot collect benefits until you have found a job and earned at least 10 times your benefit rate. (This is about five weeks of pay if you earn what you made at your old job).

The rules about quitting are very strict. Even if you think you have good cause, you should check with a lawyer or the unemployment compensation office before you quit to make sure you will be able to get benefits.

You should always try to work out any problems with your supervisor before you quit. If you don’t give your employer a chance to work out the problem, you may be denied benefits.
