unemployment CA state tax filing?

Question by Mark M: unemployment CA state tax filing?
If I only had unemployment compensation for 2012, do I need to file anything with the state of California? Their Calfile says that they don’t tax it and they won’t let me continue filing online so I don’t know what, if anything, to send in.
I love the first answer. Which restated what I JUST said above. What I need to know is if I need to send ANYTHING into them.

Mobile Words Notified By Elaine Chao, U.S. Secretary of Labor, That $7.5 Million Hurricane Ivan Disaster Relief Grant Given to Governor Bob Riley for the State of Alabama – Mobile Works to Receive $407,418 to Fund 105 Disaster Relief Jobs in City Of Mobile, Mobile County and Other Local Municipalities

Mobile, AL (PRWEB) October 7, 2004

Mobile Works Inc. announced today that it was notified by Elaine Chao, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor, that Governor Bob Riley of the State of Alabama will receive $ 7.5 million for Hurricane Ivan disaster relief. Mobile Works was notified by Governor Riley that it had received $ 407,418 in grant monies from the Department of Labor under Section 173 of the Workforce Investment Act that will be awarded to the City of Mobile, Mobile County and other municipalities within the county of Mobile for Hurricane Ivan disaster relief.

National Emergency Grants are discretionary grants awarded by the Secretary of Labor that provide supplemental funding for workforce development, employment services and other assistance for workers affected by major economic issues, such as plant closures, and major disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes or floods, during which their jobs were displaced.

Mobile Works has targeted the grant monies for infrastructure cleanup of the City of Mobile and Mobile County for the damage from Hurricane Ivan—with 105 local workers being hired for these tasks. 35 positions will be supervised by the City of Mobile and 35 positions will be overseen by Mobile County. There will be an additional 35 positions available for other municipalities within Mobile County based on need due to hurricane damage. All positions will work up to 350 regular hours.

Eligible adult workers for the 105 temporary positions are those who were displaced either temporarily or permanently by Hurricane Ivan, other long-term displaced workers and either short-term or long-term unemployed workers as well. Mobile Works will provide the payroll and worker’s compensation for all of these temporary employees, as well as required safety equipment. The temporary positions will be used for general debris removal, post-storm cleanup and other basic tasks.

“This Disaster Relief grant represents one of the many investments by Mobile Works to provide jobs, training and economic initiatives for Mobile,” said Sydney Raine, President of Mobile Works. “This award will aid significantly in the Mobile area’s recovery from Ivan and, just as importantly, will help up to 105 people whose jobs were displaced by Ivan to bring in much-needed income until they can find another permanent position or other workers in need of such jobs.”

Mobile Works Inc., a local partnership of business, education, labor and community leaders, provides businesses with training, leadership, labor market information and employment programs designed to stimulate local business by meeting the needs of Mobile area businesses while increasing the available labor pool of skilled jobseekers in the Mobile area. Since its inception in 2000, the group has invested more than $ 19 million overall to support Mobile area job and educational programs. In addition, in the 2004-2005 fiscal year alone, Mobile Works will invest nearly $ 4.9 million dollars in jobs, training and economic initiatives for all of Mobile County.
