How much unemployment compensation can I receive in FL?

After 11 years of employment earning a six figure salary, how much unemployment compensation can I expect to receive in FL?

Answer by stephenweinstein
Under Florida law, “the maximum weekly benefit amount is $ 275… The maximum number of weeks a claimant may receive benefits in Florida is twenty six (26) weeks.” Therefore, even if you qualify for the maximum amount per week and for the maximum number of weeks, you would only collect $ 7150. (Sometimes, during periods of a bad economy, the federal government will offer additional benefits for 13 weeks, making the total maximum number of weeks 39. If this occurs, then the most that you might collect is $ 10725.)
