I can tell that nothing would make you happier than to see unemployment keep increasing.

    don’t worry, unemployment won’t go over 8%…….oops!

  • Lying Republican Moron:

So Neocon, jobless claims raised even higher under your buddy Bush. I don’t recall that you “worried” about it then.

  • Shawn:

Liberals are in denial. Their master says he will heal the land and they believe him.

Don’t worry, their illusion will pop when they are walking home with no paycheck in hand. Its only a matter of time.

  • Ah Ha #27- TAKE A STAND NOW!:

the stimulus has failed since day one.

  • Felonius Monkey:

Thanks a lot con – you and your chicken-fried president Bush really screwed us on this one.

At least the stimulus kept us from a severe, deep recession. It would have been so much worse.

  • solaryellow:

Like I said many times, Christmas time will be the point when all hell breaks loose.

It’s no ones fault but Obama for the situation that keeps getting worse.
Stimulus did NOTHING, and he said vote it now to stop the bleeding.
Well we are hemorrhaging now and will be dead by the end of the year.

    Economics 101

Unemployment is the last thing to improve after a Republican recession is recovered from by a Democratic Admin. and Congress.

  • SAVE OUR FARMS:

Ask your greedy Neocon corporations about that.

  • TERRY BRO:

Ask this to anyone on Wall Street !

  • Dr HObama Is In:

Didn’t you know that libs loathe jobs and job applications? They’re living their dream!

  • Louis S:

When liberals get a paycheck from the government on the backs of the American taxpayer, when they do nothing to contribute to the nation….that’s the kind of Stimulus they believe in.

  • Melissa Me:

I guess it’s working just as well as the “stimulus” under Bush. Makes some people feel better but really doesn’t fix the problems.

Here’s your proof of just how well it’s working – NOT!

7 Months After Stimulus 49 of 50 States Have Lost Jobs

The table below compares the White House’s February 2009 projection of the number of jobs that would be created by the 2009 stimulus law (through the end of 2010) with the actual change in state payroll employment through September 2009 (the latest figures available). According to the data, 49 States and the District of Columbia have lost jobs since stimulus was enacted. Only North Dakota has seen net job creation following the February 2009 stimulus. While President Obama claimed the result of his stimulus bill would be the creation of 3.5 million jobs, the Nation has already lost a total of 2.7 million – a difference of 6.2 million jobs. as I said all these made up job promises is just another lie to add to his long list. They know it and are probably sitting at home because they have no jobs wondering what to do to support himself. but no no they can;t say amnything , it will mar their image they have made for themselves.

  • thor:

Hard to know. The stimulus has not created enough jobs to stem the tide of rising unemployment but, it could be that we are seeing a lower peak or run-up than we would have otherwise seen without the stimulus. There’s so much misery in the economy when people are out of work. Families and kids are suffering. I just hope it gets better soon.

  • vesaversa:

While the republicans are sitting on the fence and just saying no to everything Obama the democrats is implementing news ideas and legislation to fix the very mess they created over the pass 8 years . I don’t see how being the party of No , No ideas or solution to this country many problems is going to get the republicans another majority .Playing political game and keeping score in a economy that is experiencing the worst recession sense the great depression will further marginalize the GOP as just a Southern Regional party that is out of power or of mind .

Eeek Please stop the ride I would like to get off now! This administration needs to go bye bye!

Barack Obama averaged 52.9% approval in his third quarter in office, down sharply from a 62% average in his second. That is the largest drop between those quarters for an elected president since 1953, and one of the largest quarter-to-quarter drops for any first-year president.
