@Gfunkadunk22 – Unemployment Insurance is what one pays into one’s entire working life. It’s meant as a safety net until one is re-employed. The real problem is that the Damned Republicans shipped all of the major manufacturing jobs overseas. While at the same time blocking every avenue of new job creation in congress. Then they have the nerve to get on T.V. and Holler- “Where’s the Jobs?”. The jobs are in China, India,and the Pacific Rim Basin countries where The GOP sent them! That’s Where!

@Gfunkadunk22 You you think that their is no incentive to get a job? Misinformation has been given to you. For instance 95% of all people live paycheck to paycheck. With this in mind, imagine those same people all the sudden getting 35% of their previous pay. Because that is what the unemployment max is (INDIANA) 35% or $390 plus $25 (which ever is LOWEST!) a little higher in some areas. Can you imagine making 80k then getting 390? It will not pay your mortgage! isn’t that’s incentive?

The Democrats did not act hard hearted and block it. Under Reagan it was 3.5 years, the Democrats did not block it. Morals over money. Treat people as you would have them treat you. Rush did collect long term unemployment according to another news report from Ed Shultz. Currently it is 1.9 years max in bad areas.

Glen Beck and Rush are so out of touch that they don’t even know that McDonald and Walmart consider skill labor and professionals are very over qualified, and will NOT EVEN interview you. Hello! Do I have had several of my family members try to give me guaranteed jobs because of connections but me being over qualified trumps that! Don’t blame Rush because the DA (an openly unabashed partisan democrat) chose not to press charges. There was no privilage involved here. Just lack of evidence.
