Well, if corporations did this, those who are employed to build dams etc., would be paid a penny a day, be forced to live in barracks, and returned to concentration camps between jobs. What about natural catastrophes? The list goes on and on. We can’t survive w/o a gov’t of some sort. The answer is to reduce corruption in gov’t, not to eliminate gov’t.

I like Paul, and I give him the benefit of the doubt, but my question is what exactly do we do if we’re going to be evicted? Wasn’t it the gov’t and housing bubble’s fault (and the banks’ too) that we’re in a mess like this (or at least lured into it)? Where is the justice for the banks who preyed on us? Why are we yet again the ones to pay for their evils?

I wonder what would have happened If all those banks that had all those mortgages on their books would have gone bankrupt instead of getting bailed out? If a bank goes out of business and even if the mortgages of that bank are transferred to a more solvent bank, wouldn’t that still mean the more solvent bank receives pretty much “toxic” mortgage? If that does happen wouldn’t that give the solvent bank a proper incentive to actually renegotiate the mortgage with owner of the house?
