@yocanbanconit I couldn’t have said it better — SPOT ON!
@realdeal0083 people like you need to be rounded up and sent to Gitmo…..your lazy leeches
Republicans are right…..you are lazy scum
Exactly, if people have no money to spend, local businesses lose their business. A man with no money can’t support his local businesses. Giving unemployed people money . . . they’re not hording it, they’re the most likely to go out and buy stuff.
Respond to this video…
look I don’t blame them it’s true…we are lazy but again we pay for our own benefits and so what lets do a drug test… I’ll take it. Then when I get my checks I’ll buy all the weed I missed out…I’m rich, BITCH!!!
@BrettDunbar Was that sarcasm ? Its gettin difficult to tell. Human beings should treat other human beings like human beings. That means HELPING them to get back on their feet. But maybe your head is screwed on differently. Is it on your ass ? Because you sound exactly like one.
Republicans are voting themselves out of the race with this move. Out of touch and completely insane jerks.
@realdeal0083 Vote against the democrats and their evil beaurocracy.
You don’t fucking own us liberals. We’re human beings.
Fuck off!!!
Liberals are this fucking retarded.
Criminals should be able to work? They don’t want to hire the long term unemployed. Harry Reid links unemployment with crime.
@ANGELBLU2042 – I think you nailed it. They don’t know how to solve this problem, but divert that fact by critizing the unemployed. F*** them all.
@ToxicOdiousOne – Did you know that several companies have started to separate applications so that they are only interviewing people who are currently employed, and not interviewing the unemployed because they think they’re laxy or incompetent? So unemployment benefits should not be given and anyone who becomes unemployed shouldn’t be given jobs. Tell me how is the country going to get back on track? It won’t, and if this thinking keeps up, America will implode within 1 generation.
The unemployed are a drain on society. We are not a socialist collectivist society. Individuals are responsible to pay their bills and not society the taxpayers. Why is unemployment a problem for government to solve if you can’t get off your fat ass and be bothered to work?
@yocanbanconit, Thanks for the really excellent/insightful comment! I appreciate you taking the time to contribute.
Some people are confused about Unemployment ,it is not welfare, it is insurance that employers pay into. When someone becomes unemployed the employer has to pay. This whole extension thing is a embarrassment to our country and this needs to be passed over other things first. Getting a job is not that easy these days, working at walmart does not cut it. People need real, high paying jobs to stay afloat.
Republicans tell us unemployment is too high then tell us that the unemployed are lazy and should get a job. That’s what George Orwell called Doublethink, believing two contradictory ideas and thinking that both are equally true. It’s designed to divide the people against one another so they ignore the oligarchy pulling the strings.
Kick people when they’re down, typical Republicans.
The American people should not be giving tax money to representatives who are just skating on the taxpayers money. Those in congress are nothing but of sophisticated welfare recipients because they are not doing the jobs that they are hired to do. Right now they are on a 2 week vacation while the nation is headed to a state like the Grapes of Wrath, and it is the fault of them!!! Lying, mooch hypocrits.
@LoveToday8 I have learned the hard way that even a “crappy” job is better than no job at all and that the best job security is a good education that makes you too valuable to not hire or fire. God bless.
@LoveToday8 I’m not convinced everything that worked in the past during a different time would work now. I do think raising taxes on companies that send job overseases is something that is worth trying though. It would persuade companies to keep creating jobs in USA while also bring tax revenue from companies that already have jobs overseas
@WebAnt So you think it’s better for the U.S. to depend on the likes of Wal-Mart for jobs? Jobs that pay an average of $8-9 an hour with crappy benefits?
I’d much rather have Americans working good-paying manufacturing jobs with good benefits.
Of course we could also work to make union organization much easier and let Wal-Mart employees bargain for better wages and benefits.
@firespinguy If you look back in history, you will see that high taxation does not lead to high unemployment. The businesses that are offshoring jobs are offshoring them because they would prefer to pay someone less money in another country. If the U.S. had a single-payer health care system, that could help stop SOME of the bleeding of jobs. I know the U.S. lost out on a Toyota car plant to Canada because health care costs are lower in Canada.
@LoveToday8 You want to work on job creation, but then want to raise taxes on the very people who is needed for job creation. I don’t know how smoothly that is going work. You can’t depend on the government alone on job creation because the government does not actually produce anything, it only takes (tax) and use. Though if the government didn’t mismanage and waste so much money and funds there wouldn’t be needy to increase taxes.
@LoveToday8 No matter where American companies get their products they always support the U.S. by hiring Americans to sell their goods as long as they are able to sell them. However, the U.S. govt. hurt such companies by refusing to extend the unemployment benefits of the unemployed and thereby depriving them of customers. They will respond by hiring less and maybe even firing people and creating even more jobless folks. Way to go,Senate Republicans. Not!!!
@sittinguy What kind of money??? I am sure that the money from a job is way more beneficial than the little money we get on unemployment. I’m not lazy I search for work everywhere. Some places are harder than others. I live in a city where the General Motors plant shut down, there are thousands of people fighting for the jobs that become available here. So for the mean time while I’m personally trying to find a job I am taking my non-lazy ass to school! Is that lazy too?
