I live in pomona ca and have been unemployed for months thank god for my check. It gives me hope knowing that i will find a job with out the stress of having to loose my home car child support and so on. Its hard to find a job now a days . back in 20012002 i had 2 jobs and DJ on the side.. now with free music on the internet no body pays Djs And no one is hiring. Its real easy to sit in a plush studio gettn paid to clown on people who lost their jobs.

There are NO JOBS! I’ve been unemployed for two years now. I’ve applied for EVERY SINGLE JOB that comes up in the newspaper and craigslist. How many interviews have I gotten? TWO! Did they hire me? NO! Yes, there are some people who use they system but just because they use the system doesn’t mean you should deny honest people help as well. People are starving and homeless because of cold-hearted republicans like you. And for what? To “save money”? Fuck you.

Finally some Truth about the unemployed
@hiphoprepublicantv You are correct that taxpayers have to pay for these extensions, but I feel that if Republicans can easily pass trillions for millionaire/billionaire tax cuts, wars and bank bailout to the taxpayers, they should be able to pass a fraction of that to keep families of out of work people off the streets.
@hiphoprepublicantv Right on! Most people don’t understand it. The bill doesn’t extended anything, it simply continues to pay the 99 weeks the government promised the unemployed worker. Almost no one has reached the 99 weeks.

@TheNico000 However, a more extensive unemployment extension package, with Democrats seeking a year long extension of benefits, is on the agenda. In addition, contact your representatives urging passing of an extension as soon as possible. So the question is who is going to pay for alllllllllllllllllllllllll theses extensions??? Earlier this year, Congress approved up to 99 weeks of unemployment benefits backed by the federal government — an addition of 73 weeks to the traditional 26 offered by the states. The duration of benefits varies from state-to-state, and this bill wouldn’t have extended the maximum beyond 99 weeks.It would have allowed those unemployed beyond 26 weeks to continue accessing the current program through the remainder of 2010. The previous extension expired on June 2.
