If you get laid off from work is this considered a closed door by God?

Question by Christ in me: If you get laid off from work is this considered a closed door by God?
Is that how God closes doors? I was remembering way back in 2007 when I was laid off from my job. I wonder if that was God moving me to a new place of employment.

Does anyonre have examples of how God has closed doors for them?

No it’s just a sign of a bad economy.

No, because there is no such things as gods.

Yes, just like when you pray for your cancer friend to heal but she dies. God closes the door on her.

111 John ;2. God wishes above ALL things that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. The faith man will not be moved by a layoff, but look for the opportunities that gives him. And that man will be blessed of God. But if you just sit back and collect unemployment checks, God will be silent to you.

I remember when I was younger and I got fired from my first job. Then, I thought my boss fired me for doing something stupid. Now, looking back, I think my boss fired me for doing something stupid. There is no mystical intervention going on here. God doesn’t do anything and he doesn’t exist. There was an earthly reason you got fired. I’m sorry if you didn’t deserve it, but “god” didn’t do anything. It might be a good idea to try something you’ve always wanted to, but that does not mean there is some supreme being that wants you to find a new job. How would it sound if I said when I was fired, the gallon of milk I had in my fridge was trying to move me. I certainly would not have thought that MY actions had caused my being fired, and I may be bound to repeat those actions if I didn’t take responsibility.

I feel much encouraged with regard to our academy: it is well attended, and the scholars are interested and energetic in their studies. Schools are becoming numerous and well attended, and the spirit of improvement is among the people.

Closed door: being laid off for a while, choosing a major you did alright in high school courses then doing terrible even while in college on that subject, even while studying, or someone telling you you can’t take that major (like can’t take Piano Performance but can take Piano Pedagogy–closed door to both because I would rather take psychology because it is less credit hours than Piano Pedagogy), your spouse also being laid off/not finding work in same city anymore is closed door. However, if it is you not finding job here or in another city and she having a good job it means your relationship with God is tested (you need to get closer to God through meaningful prayer/speech with God; and to your spouse (so you would want a part time job, even if a lowly one, to be able to not leave the burden on her–be gentelmany, God is a Gentleman, and it seems you probably need to have more time for God. Reading the Bible and knowing it more in depth, like that on part of day 4 only was the sun created, so there could not be the earth revolving (24 hours) on day 1 2 3 4; know the basics to hold self, spouse, and to be able to ConFRONT someone who has erred–to lead them back from being bad (anyone you meet, I would think, but doing so in a gentle manner helps).

The Bible says God works in unexpected ways. It also says that God has measured each of our steps. So God has a specific plan for your life.
