Hello Friends,
I am a software engineer and I have been actively looking for a job. I just got an offer from a company which creates software. However this software is used to run casino slot machines. I am now thinking that is this job haram? Although I don’t gamble nor encourage others to do so, if I take this job will it be haram?

this is haram because u r facilitating the business. Since it is associated with haram, it is haram. Imam Hanafee was asked if it was haram to make the clothes and sow the clothes of a bad dictator. The imam replied not only is it sinful and haram for u, but also the person who sells u the strings to sow the clothes with. Your job is haram if it is associated with haram even if it is indirectly.

It is allowable ONLY IF you NEED to work, and that you don’t have anyone to financially support you, and IF that is the only job you can get….but it doesn’t sound liek you tried applying for non-major related jobs, even if they pay only minimal wage.
In your case, yes, it would be haram to work at that place.
I think you should be grown up enough to work out this answer for yourself.
This be the best job anyones can ever wish for. You donts asking people to be gambling, you is providing a service. Providing a service is God’s work. You can makes a lots of money and friends.
As for now, just continue working, you have to feed your family or yourself.
God told you in the Quran NOT to gamble.
But God did not forbid you from working and earn income.
