How will they remove the quantitative easing cash from the UK economy?
Question by Paul R: How will they remove the quantitative easing cash from the UK economy?
Its easy to let the genie out of the bottle but how do you get it back in?
I suppose they’ll tax the crap out of the middle classes since they are scared of alienating the benefit scroungers and the £million dollar bankers with give them the fingers, again.
I see that this is too hard for the Answers community.

“Too hard for the Answers community”? Well, if you are asking us to predict how they will actually do it, then you can’t expect anything more than just exactly that: a prediction.
However, they were discussing this exact question on the radio (here in the U.S. yesterday) and their financial analyst said that the Federal Reserve would start charging banks to hold their extra cash for them. *shrugs* I didn’t understand how this would reduce quantitative easing and reduce the amount of money that’s been pumped into the system, but whatever.
That probably doesn’t help much with your Bank of England question though, does it?
Good luck.
