How to get laid off employee list?
I am a resume writer and have a good idea to gain more clients. If I could know who was just laid off at a company, I could mail/email them info on my services. The only problem is how in the world am I going to get that information? Why would a company give some random woman that info? Surely there is a way I just haven’t thought of one yet. Any ideas?

no company will give you that info.
You should have an ad with a guy or girl waling home carrying a box and a sad look on their face.
The ad would say “laid off? You need a another job soon and I can help!!!”
making friends with some hr may help
Contact Human Resources of the employers in your area and offer them your services in providing their laid off employees with resumes and related services. For example, conducting mock employee interviews or tips on how to dress for an interview.
You will find that many companies will be interested because they want to allay the fears of the employees that aren’t getting laid off — yet. You will also find that HR people tend to hate being the bearers of bad tidings and want to do something to make up for it. As a result they will be on your side.
Create two types of brochure; one that will address the interests of the employer and another that will appeal to the laid off employee. Use your computer to create and print them and go out and start making some appointments and sales calls.
Ideally, the interested companies will pay you to provide the services for them. Even companies that won’t pay you will often refer laid off employees to someone like yourself.
Hope this helps
