How many years (after the graduation) a German university graduate is unemployed until he finds a job?
How many years a university graduate is unemployed, or doing a job not related to his degree, until he find a job? Are you aware of any research on the matter?

That depends entirely on the subject studied and the time someone finishes.
At the moment, future scientists (physics, chemistry, certain types of biologists such as molecular biologists or biomedical engineers) have a good outlook. So do economic engineers.
Degrees in history, german studies, philosophy and anthropology never had it easy. They will earn a quarter less than the scientists and studies have shown they are the least happiest of all graduates.
I don’t think their are studies that specifically tested how many years certain students needed to find a job. But there are studies that say that students still have good chances to get work – although much less chances when they are art scholars.
It also depends on the “state” (Bundesland). There are different unemployment rates in different states in Germany. But in general, it’s pretty hard to find a job here at the minute.
Depends on the state the region and the subject of the degree.
