How can a single jobless white male living in CA, not qualified for medicare, get free health insurance?
Question by Visergoth: How can a single jobless white male living in CA, not qualified for medicare, get free health insurance?
I am 24 years old and have been unemployed for nearly a year. I’m finding that I don’t qualify for any of the free or low cost plans, but I’d really like to be able to see a doctor when I need one without going to the ER and getting a big fat bill. Any suggestions?

There is nothing free in California. Even Medicaid has a share of cost unless you are in certain categories which you are not. You have to go to community clinics which charge on a sliding scale. Cant you even afford to join Kaiser?. At your age health insurance is as cheap as it gets.

Find a low-income or free clinic. There’s no such thing as “free” health insurance (though we all wish!!).
I am providing you with some links to check out. Also, check out Starbucks–medical benefits even at PT status! There’s no reason you need to be unemployed for that long at your age.
