Consumer spending is down again?
Question by zapzap: Consumer spending is down again?
The only way for this recession to end is for people to start spending, there are soooo many people I know that are out of work, they aren’t going to rush out and buy a new car, spend money on anything. I have not seen anyone getting a job lately, have you?

Obama and his team tooted their own horn before the media that the recession will end soon. They ignored the half million people adding to the unemployment line each month. The true unemployment rate stands at 15.8%, not 9% as stated by the White House. If these people are not spending and are losing their homes, how are we going to recover?
Obama gave the money to the banks and the money disappeared into thin air!! That’s 700 billion bailout dollars!! Calculate: $ 700 billion / 305 million people = $ 2300 for each American: male and female, infants and seniors, legal and illegal. US economy will be boosted overnight!! He should have given the money directly to the people.
Obama is acting more like a closet Republican than a Democrat.
