Greenwald is right. Obama is not failing to do certain things; he is doing exactly what he intended to do. Some might say Bush’s presidency was a failure, but it wasn’t. They accomplished just what they wanted….and maybe even more…
@onedthought I am, too, but I think it’s because MSNBC knows Dylan Ratigan’s audience—so he/cenk/glenn are preaching to the choir more or less.
I never thought Obama was a genius and I still don’t—unless of course you are referring to his acting talent. The POTUS has ALWAYS represented a small, powerful wealthy class. As Parenti says, the consitiution was designed to keep the people in check, not the elite class and its representatives.
So, I’m not disappointed in Obama, except maybe that he is even more deceptive and secretive than I thought he was.

If the avg liberal in America stood up for the Democrats half as much as the avg conservative stands up for the Republicans you’d never lose another election again. Putting aside the blatant theatrics here, they actually said something. Nothing about how the U.S. is really implicated in whats going on in middle-east. We all know how much the mainsteam media holds back information, and that EVERYTHING they report outside the U.S. is a day’s old news.
