1992-08-27 Ross Offers Blake A Job Part 2
27 Aug 1992 (Part 2) – Ross is trying to offer Blake a job with his campaign, but she’s distracted watching Holly and Leo across the room. Blake notices that they have switched roles – Blake wants to be discreet while Ross is nonchalant. Blake thinks Ross’ job offer is not good enough. Back at the Bauers, Ed and Maureen apologize to each other. Maureen thinks there’s more to the story than just Ross and Blake being thrown together during the blackout. Ed and Maureen wonder how serious Ross and Blake are, but Maureen cannot imagine Ross and Blake getting married. At the Towers, Ross and Blake argue about the job offer. Blake wants a legitimate position so that the job is not just an obvious cover for them to spend time together. Later, Ross and Blake prepare themselves to say good-night to Holly and Leo. Blake and Holly continue to snark at each other. Holly taunts Ross and Blake about Leo taking her home so they can continue their discussion in private. I thought the same thing, considering both Ed and Michelle were in the first wedding party. And it’s ironic that Bloss and their kids ended up a fairly stable family, like Ed & Maureen once were. I think Maureen would have been very happy for them.
It’s sad that Maureen didn’t get to see Blake and Ross actually getting married.
