Interesting; It was John McCain who predicted the collapse of the housing industry years before to a deaf and non-interested Senate who voted his reform proposals down. But I guess candidate Obama is the only one on record who predicted this catastrophe while accepting massive campaign contributions from Fannie Mae.

More of the same from a President who has failed time and again to make good on his promises. President Obama has now been in office for more than a year and we now have an unemployment rate of almost 11 percent. Instead of working on real solutions that will help put people back to work, this Democrat Congress and Administration have used the economic downturn as an excuse to blow billions of taxpayer dollars on policies that are burying our kids and grandkids under mountains of debt.

By the way, as the government is too big to fail, the government should get more power so when it runs out of money, it can go to China and borrow more money. As Obama says, “We need more stimulus packages to create or save more jobs!”.Another way to make the banks become smaller so they can not be too big to fail is to create more creative tax on them except Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac as they are going broke any way, so just keep them big!
Yeh, the president knew about it long time ago, back all the way to the Chicago time as a lawyer for ACORN! He worked with ACORN to help the banks doing their business in a not risky mode by lending to every body!! In this way, the risk is completely eliminated as it distributed to every body and becomes so small that we can not see it!

Socialism can be sold in the form of social capitalism. Socialism is a curse word because of what it has done by unqualified leaders. Hitler used socialism to lead his nation, Stalin claimed to be socialist, but he was just lowering everyone’s standards so it was easier. The Romans collapsed due to socialism. However, this does not make it bad. Those nations simply weren’t ready.
Boycotting elections could almost never have a positive effect.
Try selling that to us, though. We have a national religion, utterly baseless that tells us that we cannot participate in anything containing the word “social” or “socialist/ism” in it. This is what I wanted all along. After living overseas for a decade and enjoying a much higher standard of living–I believe we are capable of more. At the same time, I am disheartened to hear rednecky voices drowning it all out. Makes me want to take my family and leave again.
One might also that the public option provides a step-up and precedent for further reform. One problem with politics is that when a measure fails, one can either read its failure as: (1) the measure went too far, or (2) the measure did not go far enough.
That applies to the recent Mass. special election; one poll shows many liberal voters actually boycotted it protesting the lack of progress the Senate is making on health insurance reform. I believe not in boycotting elections for this reason.
@TaxPayersMoney839 = after watching todays Jan 22 Speech. Obama appears to have NOT A CLUE as to what his plans or mission actually is? He even added that HE was GLAD = to have gotten outta Washington = cause it can drive YOU NUTS!…..????…… every one sorta sat in a scary silence and was uncomfortable at best! Then the President kept refering to himself in the third term = “Obama is gettin accussed” ….???…….or “people been talkin about Obama”..???…. HE IS CRAZY ME FEARS = YIKES!
A public option doesn’t work. You either end up with insurance companies that ignore the government and do their own thing, or you have the insurance companies join together and become a monopoly and a race to the bottom occurs. Only a true single payer system with an unregulated socialist method of distribution of health care for all can work. Pay doctors for doing their jobs, deduct from it for taking longer than average to heal, etc etc. No bureaucracy, just check for corruption.
People actively chose to kill. For every religious group that kills, there were opponents who demanded an end of the same faith.
